Perflubron (C₈BrF₁₇) is a kind of colorless transparent liquid at normal temperature with melting point of 6 ℃, boiling point of 142 ℃. Perflubron is characterized by high density, low viscosity, low surface tension, noncombustible, nontoxic, high chemical stability and high electrical insulation. Perflubron is one of the superior perfluorocarbons for medicine at present. Due to the presence of a bromine atom in the molecule, it has a high lipophilicity. It is easy to be emulsified with the biological compatible lecithin emulsion, which makes it excreted rapidly.
